Project Manager (Contract-to-hire)

Job description

Project Managers play a key role in successfully communicating and delivering for our clients. They are responsible for the planning and execution of projects that support various creative and marketing initiatives for our external clients, and providing business value to the organization by ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. 

This includes intaking new project requests, gathering requirements, planning, scheduling, identifying risk factors, accounting for dependencies, and coordinating with various teams to ensure projects are executed and delivered to the Belief standard.

Project managers are responsible for creating, communicating, and managing project plans through clear, established methods, working closely with team members, and providing regular reporting. They work to ensure the correct resources, processes, and tools are in place to support the successful execution of projects while managing a sustainable pace for the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects for a variety of clients from conception through completion
  • Work closely with creative directors and account managers to deliver projects that achieve a client’s goals and objectives on time and within budget
  • Develop project scopes and collaborate with stakeholders to build SOWs
  • Resource project teams, taking bandwidth and project budgets into consideration. Work closely with stakeholders to manage resourcing needs across the agency
  • Create and maintain project status reports, budget reports, and schedules. Oversee metrics needed to determine project health and escalate concerns when appropriate 
  • Anticipate potential blocking, timeline and scope issues and work with stakeholders on preemptive solutions
  • Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of project management software/tools and work closely with team members to ensure understanding and compliance 
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized files for all project stages
  • Clearly communicate project scope, deliverables, timeline and dependencies to internal teams. Facilitate conversations about risks, dependencies, and questions. 
  • Change management - clearly document and communicate all changes in scope, timeline, or other project elements to internal and client stakeholders, explaining and managing implications 
  • Along with Creative Directors, Project Managers serve as a leader on every project team. Promote and cultivate a positive internal culture, celebrate team wins, be helpful and humble, give direct clear feedback and participate in conflict resolution to facilitate a healthy working environment and keep projects moving forward

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading projects from inception to completion (creative/marketing agency experience is a plus), including overseeing teams, writing/managing schedules, and writing/managing budgets 
  • Excellent planning, facilitation, problem-solving and communication (written and verbal) skills 
  • Ability to work independently while keeping management informed
  • Adaptive, proactive, ready to ask questions and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities

Compensation & Benefits

  • This is a contract-to-hire position, starting with a three-month engagement. Hourly rate to be negotiated for an initial contract period.
  • Total compensation ranges between $70,000 to $95,000 (salary to be negotiated after initial contract period)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance covered 100% for employees
  • 3 weeks PTO + 7 paid holidays
  • Hybrid or remote work arrangement
