"Outlive" Documentary & Music Video

After a three-year hiatus, Demon Hunter returned to the studio with a new lease on life—and death. During their time away, the band was forced to face mortality in ways they never had before—the births of seven children, three of whom were born premature or with developmental and physical disabilities; a home and belongings lost to a devastating fire; the diagnosis of a life-altering disease. Writing about these challenges was a coping mechanism, and the band exploring their collective trials resulted in "Outlive," Demon Hunter’s eighth studio album.

This exploration of death was carried through the album’s accompanying visuals, including a documentary about the making of "Outlive" and a music video for the album’s first single, “Died in My Sleep.” The set for both was built in-house, and, from a floor filled with dead leaves to a room of barren birch trees, was an embodiment of the Land of the Dead.
